The highlight of the BYCZ AiR 2024 program is the final exhibition EXPLORING THE BAVARIAN FOREST at the GA\MP Gallery in the center of Pilsen. From September 6 to 8, the curated group show features selected works by Adéla Mitová, Clemens Söllner, Natalie Brehmer and Soňa Brabencová. The most recent works on display were created during the residencies in Kollnburg. In the exhibition, they are juxtaposed with each other and with other artistic works from the four artists’ oeuvre. Whether as a source of inspiration, a place of longing, a living space, a scene of German-Czech history, a backdrop, or a habitat – the forest is a recurring motif. With wood and glass, two materials and craft techniques characteristic of the Bavarian Forest are represented in the exhibition, finding new applications, and meaning in the visual arts.

The exhibition will be officially opened on September 6 at 5 p.m. in the presence of the artists, curators, and project partners. At the vernissage, Adéla Mitová will perform her work KRAVIČKA [LITTLE COW], which she developed in Kollnburg, live. In addition, there will be music by the Bavarian band ZWEIFEL UND CAECILIA. With electric guitar, violin, electro-acoustic beats, and effective vocals, they create their usual unconventional mix of styles.
