Call for applications
(A) Mai 1 – June 30, 2024
Application deadline: March 15, 2024
This year, the international artists’ residence SCHIESSLHAUS AiR will be launching a Czech-Bavarian Artist in Residence Program. The BYCZ AiR PROGRAM 2024 is a cooperation project of the Municipality of Kollnburg with Plzeň 2015 and part of the program INTERREG Bayern – Česko 2021-2027, co-funded by the European Union. Artists and creative professionals from Bavaria and Czechia are invited to apply for a two-month residency at the historic monument „Schießl-Haus“ located in Kollnburg in the Bavarian Forest, half way between Munich and Prague. The four selected resident artists – two artists from Germany and two artists from Czechia – will receive a total artist’s fee of EUR 2,500 including travel and material costs for their participation in the public program and the educational program. The AiR program is process-oriented and seeks to inspire interdisciplinary dynamics, intercultural exchange and participatory approaches.
By participating in the residency program, the guest artists agree to participate in the public program and education program of the SCHIESSLHAUS AiR:
In addition, the participation in the residency program requires a short report on the residency experience either in written form, in the form of a photo album, a video/audio documentation or similar.
Open to visual artists of all disciplines as well as other creative fields such as film, theater, literature, architecture, sound, design and music. We particularly encourage applications that pursue interdisciplinary approaches. Applications are open to individuals and/or collectives born and/or based in Bavaria and Czechia. There is no age restriction.
Applications must be submitted in English.
